Context

Mortgage Intelligence is a national mortgage brokerage network offering a wide range of mortgage products and services. Part of the M3 Tech group, the platform serves both brokers and consumers with tools for mortgage calculations, broker discovery, and educational content.

WPlook Studio provided Senior WordPress & Systems Architecture consulting over a 4-year engagement (2021–2025). We inherited the codebase and improved the platform with custom blocks, front-end redesign, broker backend development, SEO consulting, and infrastructure optimization.

The Challenge

The platform needed modernization across the board — from slow page loads and infrastructure sprawl to an outdated front-end. Mortgage Intelligence required custom development for broker management, interactive mortgage tools, and improved SEO to compete in the financial services search landscape.

What We Delivered

  • Custom Gutenberg blocks — CTA blocks, dynamic location finder, broker information, and content management blocks with React edit interfaces
  • Broker, office, and franchise backend — custom post types synced from the BOSS CRM via JWT-authenticated API
  • 7 mortgage calculators — affordability, payment, refinance, rent-vs-buy, debt consolidation, closing fees, and custom rate
  • Bootstrap 5 front-end with PostCSS pipeline, custom media queries, and brand-specific theming
  • Broker search with Google Maps API integration
  • Schema markup — Organization, Financial Service, Breadcrumb schemas
  • Bilingual support via Polylang with 200+ translated strings
  • Infrastructure migration — 12 servers to 2, Azure VM with cPanel
  • CI/CD pipelines, SEO consulting, Didomi consent management
